LMIAB then delivered a laser welding machine with a 2 kW fiber laser source and an ABB robot.
SWS-400 ROBOT WELDING SYSTEM is a Class 1 enclosure that, with the help of an ABB robot system, moves a specially built welding fixture inside the enclosure with automatic adjustment, laser welding, and return to charge / looting position where the front door automatically opens. The machine is equipped with a pneumatic guide-controlled door that opens vertically and covers the entire front of the machine. The construction creates a good and ergonomic condition for the operator, as there are sockets on the front of the machine that allow both standing and sitting operation of the system.
The ABB Robot System is superior and has control over both the laser system and the enclosure. The operator in turn controls the process from a custom interface on one of the side-mounted touch screens.
